How it Works
It’s really pretty easy! You (yes you, Coach) are signed up, and ready to fire it up!
The 360 iCoach™ team will have created your unique, secure environment, and you may already have your staff, players and others in the organization set up with user profiles. Because 360 iCoach™ is a fully hosted solution accessible by browser only, you will have immediate access to all the tools.
The key is for you to map the profiles to way you run your team and how the team typically communicates on a day-to-day basis. Of course you will learn as you go along, and 360 iCoach™ provides the flexibility to easily change things on the fly. But you will be functional almost instantly once you have set up your coaches and players as users and logically organized them in virtually the same way they are organized today. You will think about groups such as “Coaches,” “Scouts,” “Offense,” ”Defense,” “Forwards,” ”Linemen,” ”Pitchers,” etc. You will then start to post all of the important information; as information is posted, it is tagged according to its relevance to the entire team/staff or perhaps just a sub-group. The system will take over and manage the distribution and access. The application offers some of the most powerful and complete planning tools available, and you can take this capability as deep as you want.
Now that the entire team has been assigned unique user names and passwords, you are ready to create events and assign users and user groups. Teams can rapidly upload all of their video and have it available immediately in high quality streaming for viewing – online, anywhere, anytime. Video and other digital content, such as photos, word documents, and spreadsheets – can be assigned to games, events or to specific users and user groups. Every time content is uploaded or any activity takes place in the 360 iCoach™ application, an email notification or predetermined method of electronic notification to the designated recipient happens automatically. Not only that, everything is logged and tracked.
How Can I Use 360 iCoach™ in Game Planning?
Let’s say you are facing the number-one team next Saturday and you have lots of preparation to do and happen to have scouted and videotaped their last game and want to use this to prepare. In days past, you made DVDs and gave it to all the coaches to study for game planning. This was problematic. Now, simply create an event on the calendar for Coaches Game Planning. Assign all coaches and upload the video to 360 iCoach™, or create a Clipboard and insert it there for assignment to the meeting. With a browser, every coach will have the ability to view the video assigned to the event – in high quality, full screen, streaming video. They can play it in slow motion, rewind, go frame by frame and make comments as they go. These comments can be captured in an online forum or in voice file and attached to the video. These comments can then be reviewed by everyone assigned to this event – anytime, anywhere via their browser. No longer does everyone have to report to the film room to study the competition. Once all the coaches have assessed the competition and prepared the game plan, they can now assign the video, comments and game plan to the team – by specific groups, such as offense, defense, running backs, position players, forwards, etc.
